I oppose regulations that limit or eliminate my ability to choose and/or use any type of investment, specifically leveraged and inverse funds. I know you're from the government and you're here to help me, but please, quit the nanny state [REDACTED] now.
I oppose restrictions to my rights to invest. I believe Americans have the right to trade any public investments with no limitation or restrictions. I, not the regulators should be able to chose the investments that are right for me. I shouldnt have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities like leveraged and inverse funds. I do not need those measures imposed on me because Im capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks.
As a 50 year investor worth almost 2 million in assets, I use inverse and leveraged ETFs on zero to 15% of my investments based on market conditions. I use inverse sprangling in ultra Bear markets . I currently am in inverses for the 1st time in 14 years because the markets are so negative. And I know all about the risks . The examples of mistracking by FNRA is rare and over blown
Extra information, warnings, limits and trading advice could be given before any purchases in 2x and 3x etfs for new traders who have not used this product before...however no restrictions should be necessary for persons who have held or traded these products for 3 months or longer ....they have experienced the downfalls...
Do not restrict our rights as retail investors to use these leveraged funds. Why should the big investment firms have all the advantage? Its not right.
i have been trading leveraged products for years and i dont need special regulators to protect me from myself
This punishes older investors in two ways. First, selling covered calls is an established source of income for retirement accounts. Why punish those who want to use this conservative approach? Secondly, the older investor who is behind on their savings and intelligently want to increase risk to catch up to have a nest egg that will support a self-sufficient retirement will be punished. Responsible investors should not be punished to protect gamblers. Finra might as well shut down casinos next.
Please just let me invest how I want. This is obnoxious.
Who are you to say who is sophisticated enough?
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
