Stop treating the public like theyre stupid and restricting them from investments. The real solution is to require those offering more complex investments to provide better education around them and potential risks upfront. Not just restricting them outright.
This is nonsense, I do not need your approval to invest.
Leave my money alone! I should be able to invest my money how I choose & not have limits.
Investing should be a human right not only for the higher income families. #onlytherichgetricher
FINRA Committee: As a working class, Army veteran, society isn't the kindest when it comes to financial growth. Having the ability to invest in leveraged and inverse funds such as UltraPro and UltraPro Short ETF's; gives the average person the same opportunities as folks like yourselves seeking to restrict with arbitrary "poor people" laws.
This is a terrible choice and an attack on the American people. Shame on you, we will not forget this type of behavior, the American people are sick of your greed.
I have been actively investing in the stock market since 1985 and have followed the development of leveraged and inverse funds and ETFs as they progressed. I think the current requirements of the brokerage firms is adequate information to investors about these types of securities. I think no additional restrictions or regulations should be placed on my right to invest in these securities.
Leveraged and inverse funds are central to my investment strategy. I am not a multi-millionaire and am retired. My strategy has been successful in supplementing my social security. You would take this away by passing yet another measure designed to protect me and others from the pitfalls of unsuccessful investing.
Don't do this.
I use leveraged ETFs to hedge a portfolio of stocks owned by my parents. In addition, I trade them for my smaller personal account because I am too fearful to trade futures, and futures options are overly expensive. These ETFs are very useful and I hope you do not place nay restrictions on them.
