Please stop babysitting people. We have enough knowledge and brains to decide on our own what to do with our own money and in what to invest. We do not need more regulation or rules.
I would like to voice my opposition to restrictions on my right to invest in leveraged and inverse funds. I have learned that FINRA is considering limiting the public's access to leverage and inverse funds. I highly disagree with this. I should be able to choose what investments are right for me without restrictions, limitations, or extra requirements. These types of investments should not be limited to just the privileged or high net individuals or those who can pass a test.
We want to continue of having our right to trade with leverage ETF.
It is not your job to tell us what we cant Invest in on the stock exchange! Leveraged ETFs were created to trade! If I want to put my hard earned capital at risk in a leveraged ETF I have the right to! Its my money!
I should be able to make my own investing decisions. I understand the risk in leveraged securities. Limiting this to an elite group of investors is total against what this county stands for - freedom of choice.
Please do not hinder my ability to participate in the stock market or create barriers that are unnecessary.
The proposals put forward are a solution in search of a problem. Leave Retail Investors alone. Retail Investors do not want, nor do we need, your "protection". Government regulation already restricts the general public from certain investments with the accredited investor rules, we do not need additional prohibitions placed upon us. It is difficult for me to believe that there are not more pressing matters in which FINRA could be investing their time.
We need freedom and flexibility to maximize our portfolio!
To whom it may concern:
I oppose restrictions on my right to invest in public investments. Leverage ETFs are especially convenient way for us retail investors to take advantage of market volatility. If one's not capable of understanding the risks, fees and pros and cons associated with such ETFs they probably should leave their investment accounts to professionals altogether. Putting barriers for retail traders to access leverage and inverse funds are violations to our trading freedom.
