I strongly disagree with this attempt to limit investors options. There wasn't any requirements for us to trade these leveraged instruments and there shouldn't be any now. That's what we have disclosures for.
I have a right to invest freely in what I deem to be an acceptable risk for myself and family. Inverse and leveraged funds help me prospect and hedge against unanticipated moves in the market. By forcing people to jump through hoops by passing certain tests etc. it just creates more headache and slows down the efficiency of markets.
Every body should be able to invest in the securities you propose to legislate. The information about these securities is widely available and well documented. In addition, the average person does not have the insider information that the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have in order to make millions off the stock market. As is the case, regulating the average American away from the ability to invest in these securities is another blow to the financial security of ordinary Americans
I want the right to invest where I please! No law should keep people from opportunity!
As an individual I should have absolute control and discretion of the investment decisions and options I have and make. Not regulators or any service providers (brokerages) should limit my access to the markets and the products available to investors.
Free markets is for everyone .That is what capitalism is all about .
Free market for everyone!
It is my understanding that regulations are being considered that would severely limit my ability to invest in leveraged products or at least require me to jump through regulatory hoops and tests in order to invest. I am opposed to further restrictions beyond what currently exist for leveraged products, particularly ETFs which is how I normally invest.
Leverage products are a very minor part of my portfolio, but i would like to continue with these products without being hampered by additional regulation. Thanks for listening.
it is not your decision on what i can or cannot buy. only now when the market is inflated and you are trying to cover your trails are you worried about what retail holds. you should be ashamed of yourselves!
