I oppose the possibility of restrictions being placed on my rights to invest in public investment vehicles. I should be able to choose what investments are right for me. Investments should be available to everyone not just who regulators deem worthy. I use leveraged and inverse funds to hedge positions and they are an important part of my strategies. There shouldnt be any kind of special education or test people have to go through to invest in public investment vehicles. When investing in these funds the broker general makes you accept a page anyway verifying you understand the risks.

I oppose the restrictions you are considering for leveraged and
inverse funds. If I were investing someone else's money it might make sense. Other wise you are only restricting average investors ability to make their own choices.

Let me make my own decisions investing my money.

To whom it may concern,
I completely understand the risks of leveraged instruments that I use for investing. I do not want regulators to impose restrictions limiting my ability to trade these investments. I have been trading for over 20 years. Restrictions like these would only reduce my ability to protect my portfolio during certain times of uncertainty, as well enhance my positions.

While I understand the nature of trying to protect investors from themselves on investing in certain investment strategies, the criteria presented as possible restrictions potentially goes too far. Investment knowledge does not always equate to net worth size noting that the greatest generation is passing more and more assets to younger generations including some that have very little investment experience/knowledge. I would potentially be okay with a test, however, administratively would be costly and difficult to prove the client did not look up correct answers.

Ladies and Gentlemen: By limiting access to any investment opportunities you block any of us who are trying to improve our lives from investing you lock us from being able to improve. There is already in place on some things restrictions defined as an accredited investor. If you block us from being able to invest you doom us to classes of rich and poor and the middle class merging in with the poor. Do not do that to us who are trying to learn and improve our financial lives, Allow us to learn and make mistakes and grow. Thank you for your consideration.

I want my right to invest.

I oppose restrictions to my right to invest in public investments, such as leveraged and inverse funds. I should be free to choose these funds doing my own research. It is not fair that only the privileged get to invest in what they want. I have a college education and plenty of other retirement savings. I should be able to make my own calculated risks. I am also willing to attest to that fact when I make these investments, just don't remove that possibility from me or make it more difficult.
