Kevin Steuer Comment On Regulatory Notice 22-08

Hi FINRA Committee Members, I don't believe it is fair that you are trying to regulate leveraged and inverse funds. I understand the risks in using them, and have used them successfully in the past. I find them to be easier trading vehicles than using options and I use them as a way to keep my portfolio hedged and to play short term swing trades during uncertain times. If others don't know how to use them properly, that's on them, and I'm sure they'll learn quickly if they lose money by not knowing what they are getting into. Please reconsider restoring access to these funds.

Public investments should be available to everyone, not just hedge funds. Ending support for leveraged funds in the middle of a bear run will only allow the elite to buy them for discounted prices. This move will only increase wealth inequality and will make responding to a market crash much harder for everyday people. Options and callable funds are considered safe for some investors. Why can't leveraged funds, which never go to 0?
