Are you seriously considering g the rights of small investors? The concept that we would have to move to a hedge fund, or to the options markets, both open options, but far less protective than the 40 Act seems absurd. What jurisdiction does Finra have, they arent considered under the 40 Act. Once again, this appears to be a power grab by an over zealous regulator.
As an investor I oppose restrictions on usage of publicly traded leveraged and inverse ETFs. I use them in limited quantities when I see an opportunity to boost my returns in the short term. I do understand the heightened risks these instruments carry, and I take full responsibility for possible losses that I may incur when using these types of ETFs. Leveraged and inverse ETFs are important tools in my investment strategies and I do not feel like I need any additional regulations for those.
I have been trading these instruments for clients for many years and it is especially helpful when I use option strategies against positions. Please lift any restrictions as they are just another investment vehicle people can utilize in the market
Incredibly opposed to this restriction!!! I use these daily to protect my investments for my family. Restricting these tools would be criminal and completely skewed to screw over the normal investor.
Do not take away our levered etf options. This is the main reason I have any wealth built over the last ten years. I understand the risks and volatility and I want this.
There should be freedom in investments. Everyone should read the prospectus and understand the risks. But, dont legislate investments.
Dear Sirs, As usual the government agencies seem to think they are protecting individual investors from ourselves. Please stop trying to help us. Youre not. Let us compete with the big boys without tying one hand behind our backs.
I strongly suppose SEC proposed Rule #S7-24-15 I believe just like everyone has a choice to smoke, drink, choose their career the people should also have the choice to invest their money where ever they deem best. You shouldnt have to prove a high net worth to be able to have access to riskier funds.
I am a retiree living on the income from my investments. Federal Reserve policy has all but stripped me of the ability to invest simply (bonds) to achieve reasonable returns to cover my living expenses. I rely on leverage in equity funds to make the returns I need. I'm required to be more sophisticated as an investor because of federal policy that ignores my needs coupled with predatory taxation. We DON'T NEED FURTHER BURDEN ON RETIREE INVESTORS.
