Dear FINRA professionals. Please do not take away my ability to invest in leveraged funds. I have held QLD to my great benefit for many years. Please do not take away my ability to hedge my investments with inverse funds. They are a valuable tool in times of uncertainty.
long or short market is a free investment, individual make their own decision and responsibility to put their money to work, based on their own homework, for this reason, government/regulator must get out of way to let people have choice to invest, more important, people are much more smart than regulator.
Please consider your decisions cautiously, since it would definitely have a huge impact on those who regularly put their money for retirement usage!
I strongly oppose restrictions on the ability to invest in complex funds. I understand that complex funds carry unique risks, but I and other adults are fully capable of performing our own research and analysis. We are capable of coming to our own decisions regarding whether or not to put money into a riskier investment. The ability to choose should belong to individual investors, not regulators.
I strongly oppose additional regulations that would limit my ability to make my own investment decisions and manage my own risk. The existing requirement to provide a prospectus already provides investors with adequate risk information, however, I suggest adding content to the prospectus rather than creating burdensome new requirements that seem intended to discourage a particular type of investment.
I strongly oppose any restrictions of my rights to invest in leveraged funds. I should be able to make my own investment decisions with my own capital. I, along with many others opposing such restrictions are well aware of the risks involved with investing in leveraged funds and many of us use such funds to enhance our returns during periods of economic growth (i.e. 2010 - 2020). I do not need to take an exam or become a qualified investor to understand the concept of/invest in leveraged funds.
I disagree with restricting my free and equitable access to leveraged and inverse funds.
Trying to limit the access of investors to leveraged and inverse funds will further put the individual investor at disadvantage against big institutions.
These funds have been there for years and are part of many investor's strategies (e.g. hedging risk).
Another point to consider is that restricting access to these funds would push the individual investor to use other hedging/leveraging strategies such as options and/or crypto which are even more complex and risky.
I should be able to choose my choices of funds. Leveraged or not....So I clearly oppose any restrictions to investing.
I would like to take High Risk and High Return. Please don't put any restrictions on my invcestment.
