Im fully capable of making my own financial decisions without the need to be protected from myself by anyone ! Ive been successful all of my life without unsolicited advice. Leveraged and inverse funds help me to hedge and out perform better. Leverage funds allow me to react quickly to changing market conditions. This is a valuable tool I use and have for over twelve (12) years. The prospectuses give all you need to know about the risks associated with leveraged funds. Please dont put unnecessary roadblocks in my path because someone will not research their investment.
I oppose restrictions to my right with how to invest my own money. Government should put its efforts in catch cheaters not wasted on honest investors. Where to put my own money is important like my free speech right. If I prefer to put my money in which pocket that should be my decision, even that pocket could lose money.
As an investor, I am opposed to the additional regulations proposed in Regulatory Notice 22-08 restricting access to certain complex products.
There are sufficient requirements to provide information on the behavior of these investments and more than enough regulation on broker dealers to supervise the purchase and trading of these instruments.
I object to the proposed regulation that proposes to limit my access to certain investment vehicles. I consider any paternalistic regulations purporting to protect my interests as an invasion of my right to make my own investment decisions. In the matter of the leveraged and inverse ETFs being suggested for regulation, note that each presently carries declarations and warnings to investor. We need that type of disclosure but we do not need a governmental babysitter to decide which investment vehicle we choose to use.
I want to continue to buy 3x leverage. I don't want any new regulations which can crash my tqqq.
Leveraged funds are important to my overall investing strategy. I understand the risks of investing in them and use them as part of a broader portfolio of investments to enhance my returns. In my opinion, leveraged etfs provide a MUCH safer alternative to many other common methods of increasing returns such as margin, options and investing in penny stocks. It would be unfair and unjust for regulators to limit the ability of beginner and less wealthy investors from accessing the safest form of leverage in these funds.
I not regulators should be able to choose the public investments that are right for me and my family. Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged. Ishouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before you can invest in public securities, like leveraged and inverse funds. I am capable of understanding leveraged and inverse funds and their risks.
I don't think that regulators should be allowed to override my investment decisions. I use leveraged bonds in some of my mutual funds.
On behalf of our family and relatives we would like to state that leveraged and inverse funds are very important part of our investment portfolio. In particular we use leveraged inverse funds as Hedge against long positions in hi-tech Nasdaq stocks. By prohibiting or overly regulating Leveraged Inverse funds, or creating other barriers, you as regulator will take away our ability to protect our portfolio and mitigate risk exposure effectively. Thus prohibit us form investing all together.
