I am against these new proposed rules, as we should be able to invest our money to products that understand. These rules will limit the retails investors to invest with leverage using cheap margin loans.
I should be able to choose the public investments that are right to balance my portfolio. I am capable of understanding the risks of leveraged and inverse funds. I have been self directed trading for over 15 years and do not need restrictions on my right to invest in public investments. I limit my investment in leveraged and inverse funds to funds that I can afford to lose if they do not work out.
I believe that people in the US have the freedom to choose how they conduct their lives if they are not harming others. This right applies to financial choices and the choosing of investment opportunities that are publicly available to all investors. It would be unfair should only the top 1% of wealthiest investors be allowed to fully utilize the financial markets and smaller investors be limited to "government approved" investments like mutual funds with limited growth.
Regarding leveraged ETFs: It would be so unfair to make investors go through even more hoops to invest our money. It is my choice what to do. It is mot like I'm passing my debt to other taxpayers like lazy liberals transferring student debt they said they would pay back. Do you regulators not know what a leveraged ETF actually is? You allow penny stock purchases (rightfully so). You allow ETFs. This would be the heavy hand of government getting involved in my personal affiars. Gosh, ever think success is okay? Think. Government will take a poprtion of my profits.
Hello Regulators,
Please do not restrict my right to invest in public options as I choose. There should not be any special processes or tests required.
Thank you for your consideration...,
Let's investors know all the risks and benefits of products. Restricting investors investing leveraged funds is not good.
Please,
Let Me Choose how I invest.
I do not want any new restrictions.
I have been using Leveraged ETFs
like those offered by Proshares for Years.
I fully understand what I am doing and why,
and it is very important to me to be able to continue.
All you would be doing, if you take away my right to choose
how I invest My Money is make it more difficult for me to
prosper in these tough times.
Please stay out of the way -
I am sick of out of touch regulators making decisions for me.
This is an outrage. This is the cheapest form of leverage available to the little guy and you want to take it away from us. Leveraged investing is supported by Modern Portfolio Theory for those of us with higher risk tolerances. We understand the risks. Dont punish us for the irresponsible actions of a few.
I do not support the proposed rule and believe I should retain the ability to invest in whatever investment products I desire without going through special process. This comment in particular pertains to leveraged and inverse funds which an important part of my investment strategy.
