I am totally opposed to this regulation. Investor should be able to choose leveraged product if he/she choose them .You can warn them before purchase but ultimately it should be their decision to proceed
I've used leveraged funds successfully for many years. They have significantly improved my investment returns while maintaining better capital preservation for investment flexibility. After acquiring years of experience via trading leveraged ETF's I don't want to take on added regulations not do I want to risk losing my right to leveraged trading nor have it limited.
Dear decision makers, I would very much like to retain my ability to invest in funds with complex structures including those with leveraged and inverse models, such as LABU and LABD. These funds are important to my investment strategy and their manner of working is not as complicated as to put anyone at risk. Their mechanics are easy to understand and to explain to anyone. Kindly make it easy and not hard for investors.
It is unfair to take away these important tools for individual investors and once again make them only available to wealthy investors. This new regulation being considered will not accomplish what it is designed to do, and discriminates against average and lower income people.
I believe investors should have the right to choose. I'm able to understand the risk and do not think regulations are needed.
I as an educated investor want to make decisions on what I invest in. Public investments should be available to me and all the public not just the privileged.
I shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before I can invest in public securities. I understand quite well what I am investing in when I purchase a leveraged or inverse fund. I understand the risk. I don't want the regulators imposing measures on me.
The bottom 90% of net worth individuals already have a much harder time growing their wealth. No further impositions should be made that would hinder the average retail investor from investing how they want to invest.
I oppose the proposed restrictions on my right to invest in inverse and leveraged funds. I am not a professional investor, but as one who has managed most of my own investments for 20 years, I realize that there is inherent risk in financial investing (as in all of life). Investing in leveraged and inverse funds is an integral part of my investment strategy and I do it recognizing that there are risks involved.
I consider taking away that option by regulation to be an infringement upon my rights as an American citizen.
I use leveraged and inverse funds as part of my trading strategy. It is far less risky than using options in a retirement account. Please allow the continued use of the Proshares offering as I frequently trade TQQQ and SQQQ in my portfolio.
