All investors should have the opportunity it go long or short, based on their views of companies and/or the economy. These proposals feel more like an effort to limit short selling, which of course some folks have high financial motivation to want. If you want to protect retail investors, start focusing on the large banks on wall street who manipulate retail investors all the time through other means. This, in my opinion and from what I observe is the bigger problem.

I use leveraged funds, specifically TQQQ, as part of my balanced investment strategy. I understand it’s high risk and highly volatile investment. I use this fund along with a group of investors with the Kelley Letter, founded by Jason Kelly. I am in favor of people signing disclosures stating they understand the risk, volatility and how leveraged works. I’m not in favor of people needing to provide a net worth to qualify to use these funds.

Investors should be able to choose the public investments that are right for their situations, without regulation and red tape.
Public investments should be available to all of the public, not just the privileged.
We the people shouldn't have to go through any special process like passing a test before we invest in public securities, such as leveraged and inverse funds. I am opposed to further FINRA regulations.

Dear concerned, I have been using Leveraged and inverse funds for years as an important investment strategies. I use leverage and inverse funds, to help protect or/hedge my investments and/or to seek enhanced returns, I use them as a limited part of my overall portfolio. Please do not limit my choice to use such funds, and please let me know if there will be any changes to this freedom.

I am capable of reading a prospectus that notes risks and I have the ability to accept or reject those risks. Abusing the rights of small traders is not a way to improve the markets. I suggest that you direct your efforts toward the Big Five and their trading abuses.

We as Americans have the rights to choose our investments whether the government agrees or not. Taking away our freedom of choice is un constitutional and starts to make America a socialist country. You must remember you were voted in and will be voted out, which is still our constitutional right.

Leveraged and inverse EFTs have an integral place in the financial markets. I often use them for hedging which reduces the risks in my portfolio. It is not the place of FINRA to take away toys from children in a kindergarten class when the children don't play properly or well with each other. I am not saying that investment and hedging products are toys, but it is possible that when used improperly serious losses can occur. I am saying that the Democratic Party agenda to treat the entire country as if not a single American is older than 3 years is a problem.
